Here are the pictures of how this room looks now. It really hasn't looked this bad for years. It has evolved recently into more of a mess as pieces of furniture get pulled out - or put in.
The one piece of furniture that stays is Ken's little chest with all the drawers - it was Uncle Milton's and the inspiration for the built-ins. Everything else can go. You have to love the "art" over the big couch - yep, the dart board. We bought the woven rug in New Mexico. I am quite tired of it. There is a large landing - used to be where the desk and communal computer were. Now it is just another awkward space.
